The Zombie Survival Smut Meme
Immunity is Sexually Transmitted.

My name isn't important. All that you need to know is that if you're reading this, I'm dead.

It's been six months since the initial outbreak. The sickness started out as just that, a mild epidemic of what seemed to be the flu. People were told to just go on with their lives and take care of themselves. But then, soon after, things went terribly wrong.

People who had previously only had the sniffles were violently coughing, blood and sometimes even teeth or other unspeakable things coming up. Strange rashes appeared on their bodies, and hair began falling out, followed by eyes glazing over with a milky white blindness. These infected didn't die, however; no, it was even worse. They got stronger with time, stronger, less human, and hungry. It was month two when the first incident of cannibalism occurred, the victim a nurse in a hospital that was treating a victim. After that, it hardly took long. Cases were occurring all throughout the world, and not just with humans. Animals, too, were susceptible, as were metahumans, aliens, vampires, gods, and any other beings that may or may not have made their existence known. The first infected superhero made quite a show, taking out at least a thousand people in a metropolitan area on the eastern seaboard. Those who weren't completely devoured became new carriers of the disease. This variety in the infected meant there was no sure fire way to put them down.

The world governments put on a strong front, but by the end of month four, nearly the entire world had fallen into absolute chaos and anarchy. People live off the land in ultimate survivalist style, as electricity, cell phone towers, and internet are worthless now. Major cities are avoided- they're hotbeds for. The prospect of escaping where you're stuck, or even the planet, is a no go. Even those power beings who could travel from planet to plant or dimensions find themselves grounded; the time stream, it seems, has taken matters into its own hands and doesn't want to risk contaminating other places and worlds.

It's now believed that at least 95% of the population is dead or infected. 4% are those who've managed to survive, and the remaining 1%? They're immune. Most people these days travel in pairs, for multiple reasons. It's faster to move around, there's always someone to watch your back...and the most important thing: there's a way to keep yourself safe from the infected when there's two of you. Unfortunately, it's taken this long to figure out, but now it's known throughout the survivors that an immunity can be gained by daily sexual intercourse with an immune person. Like the infection can be spread through bites and close contact, the immunity can be spread through sex. Of course, there's no possible way to know someone is immune for sure, unless you actually see them get bit and not turn, so most of these traveling "couples" are gambling and hoping that one of them is immune. But it's better to have someone than no one at all, and there's nothing to lose with playing the odds here.

So, if you find this journal, stay by the side of who you have, or find someone quickly. Stock up on weapons, anything you can find, and take care of business in any way you have to. I hope you fare better than we did.

[OOC: To celebrate the beginning of October, here's something spooky! I don't think anything needs explaining besides ZOMBIES. SEX. PEOPLE ARE TRAVELING IN PAIRS. Feel free to do anything- canon, AUs, whatever.

Blank comments are fine, but you may get more bites with something, so feel free to use the form below. Otherwise, go wild.

Six months since the first news break of infection. Four since the first case of cannibalism was reported. Two months since Serah had died. And one month since he'd been bitten. Snow had a habit now of rubbing that spot on his calf with the opposite foot, balancing on one leg, knowing the nasty looking bite was there. It was nicely healed, in that he wasn't one of the walking dead now, but its scarring was ugly and he hated the look of it. Snow had only met a few other immune these past months and it was always awkward.

By now, all the survivors knew how the few immune among their numbers could help the rest of the population. It had been grisly trial and error in the pocket communities around the globe, with radio contact sparse but confirming of what was being found out. If you stopped having intercourse with someone who was immune, and you'd been bitten, you would turn into one of those things. Snow was one of those few lucky ones who were naturally immune.

"Lucky" being relative of course. He traveled between groups, trying to keep it quiet that he was immune. Time and again, when someone found out, he would have throngs of men and women of all ages begging and pleading him for intercourse. It was horrible, and he felt guilty for not doing it and even more guilty the few times he had. He still loved Serah, he hadn't even had time to properly grieve his fiance, and feeling obligated to be intimate with complete strangers was just too difficult.

The current encampment he was in, Snow had kept to himself as best he could while helping out where he could. He'd always imagined himself quite the hero but being a hero by having sex with them wasn't at all what he'd had in mind. The confusion he felt, and guilt that came along with it, intensified tenfold as he saw someone the second night in camp that he actually knew from before ninety-five percent of the world died.

"Sis? That you?" Snow stood up from his spot around one of the fires, a small bowl of soup in his large hands. "Lightning?" It had to be her. There were only two people in all the world that had that exact shade of pink hair, and his fiance was out there somewhere undead.

She wasn’t the only one to look up at his calling; though she was the only one that looked up without a gleam of hope in her eyes. Mainly because she didn’t have a brother and whoever was calling for their sister wasn’t her. She was merely caught off guard by the sudden noisy man.

It took even more off guard to recognize who it was. Then all her rage and sorrow came up from her chest and to her throat; which made her feel choked and startled.

Lightning froze for a brief moment as she registered this person and soon she broke free from that frozen state as soon as he called her name. Panic then overtook her and she quickly went over to him and grabbed his arm with a forced. “Brother.” Her tone was heavy like her grip on his arm. She bared her teeth and questioned between them: “Just what the hell are you doing here?” Low enough that it couldn’t be heard over the crackling of the fire.

The last time they saw each other he was going one way and she was going another. Serah’s death was still heavy in her heart and seeing his ugly mug around here wasn’t making her feel any fucking better about it. His nonsense actions and his dragging her sister around some hero-spun compass was just the thing that got her killed. Lightning’s grip tightened.

Her anger was only a little surprising. Snow had a vain hope that after everything, she might be glad to see a familiar face; he sure was. The grip had him with a soft frown at her, but soon enough his eyes widened with a dumb expression for just how angry she was and her accusatory tone. "Hey--"

Snow tried to pull his arm away but there was no way he was getting his arm back from the little woman without putting up a real fight, and he had a good idea who would win that one. Sure he was big, and she was tiny, but she was tiny and mighty. It wouldn't be the first time one of her fists put him flat on his ass! "Lightning, calm down, sheesh." Snow again tugged on his arm, though he wasn't fighting her, more like indicating that he didn't like the manhandling she was giving him for no reason.

"Same as you probably. The last group I was with got attacked and we scattered, so I found a new group. Same old story, huh? That's life these days." Snow moved one foot to rub at the opposite leg, self-conscious about his secret, and he wondered if she was immune or not. He hoped to whatever vicious little gods were out there that she was. Snow really didn't want to lose someone else he knew. There was a good chance she was the last person in the whole world that he did know. "Just, chill, okay?"

Lightning’s brows furrowed and with a frown she paused for a good long moment before she loosened his arm. She then looked around them and people were still looking but with a significant look of depression and thoughts about themselves rather than thoughts about the two of them. Snow had disappointed a lot of brother-havers out here with his scene.

Her stomach turned and she brought her eyes back to Snow before she took a step closer to him and crossed her arms. She was wearing a dusty pair of leather pants, brown in color but more so with the amount of dust and dirt on them. A tight leather vest with a long-sleeved shirt that had a few holes to her chest above the vest and sleeves. Her hair was pulled back in a braid that curved around to her neck with the tail brushing down just above her breast. It was longer than when he’d seen her last time. Her boots were knee-high and about the only thing on her, besides her belt and weaponry, that looked like they were well taken care of.

“When every last one of them is dead, I might consider chilling.”

"We, have to take the good with the bad, and the bad with the good. It's good seeing you, Lightning." Even if she looked like she wanted to throttle him or throw him to the zombies. He was a decent enough fighter, he could hold his own. It was a little easier fighting now knowing he was immune... Gods, he couldn't ever stop thinking about it. Why him?

Why not her? Serah... Snow's gaze trailed down the long pink braid and he thought of her ringlets bouncing with each of her movements, how her smile could light up even the darkest night, now she had tried to make love to him more than once and he always said no because they should wait until they were married. How he had likely killed her by never saying yes.

Snow looked away, feeling guilty and ashamed in the face of his should-have-been-sister-in-law. "It's hard too," he said more quietly, something the Snow she'd known would have never admitted. He wasn't good at not being optimistic. These days optimism was running scarce and he was no different, even if he used to be the wannabe hero of every situation they came across.

"But, I'm glad. That you're here, that you're safe." Snow looked back up at her and tried to smile but it fell short. Like her, his own clothes were dusty and travel worn in shades of dust and dustier. He huffed and some of that usual light hearted nature came back to him. "So hey, are you hungry? Have you eaten yet? One of the rationers owes me a favor I can get you an extra share if you need it."

Whatever he was trying to say she would discount it as an annoyance and nothing much more. She never liked him, not from the first time Serah brought him home. He followed her like a rabid dog waiting for his bone and her sister was too kind hearted to see past his charisma to all of his fundamental flaws of an existence. He was one of those modern day punks that just couldn’t get enough of the focus. Someone who always had to have the center stage with an obnoxious show of weightless content. The guilty part of her wondered if she was just jealous of Serah—

but the other parts of her wouldn’t hear it. Lightning was Serah’s protector and no matter how much she tried it didn’t matter in the end. She was at fault, but more so Snow than anyone else for leading her sister astray.

He was a giant mistake in her eyes and where he was nothing but sadness swelled in his wake.

Lightning didn’t respond to his previous statements, rather, it took until him asking about her appetite before she would stubbornly decline with a hard: “No.”

It was hard not to fidget when Lightning stared you down. Snow did his best to seem unaffected but likely she could tell anyway, like a shark sniffing out a drop of blood from a mile away. A tiny, mighty shark, he thought with some humor; that's how he thought of his sister.

"...okay." And despite that glare of hers he smiled at the thought of her having sharp teeth in that little mouth. He even snorted a small laugh.

"You wanna sit here by me and tell me how you've been?" he asked next, trying to be as nice as he could be. Snow knew that the likelihood of her accepting his invitation was next to none but at least he would try. Lightning had never seen him as a brother and never would, no matter how much he cared about her for the sake that he did see her as a sister.

Lightning followed Snow to where he'll sit and she did take a seat next to him. Although she wasn't eager to speak. Rather her thoughts went to the length of time that was between the last time they saw each other to now. How far they traveled and the amount of time the camp stayed in one place and when it was time to leave. In all honesty, she was going to part ways with this group of people. They wanted to head into the valley, where she was wanting to go up the hills. It took about two weeks before they seemed to really open up to her. And it was big, too big. Too many people drew attention to themselves in the gathered stench of one another to the noise and traffic they produced. She more than outstayed her desired length of time.

"Cash in your ration tickets, if you want to go with me, I'm leaving at dawn." She warned him before she stood and walked away from the campfire. Everything she owned that was important to her was on her body almost at all times. But she did have a sleeping arrangement set up with the rest of her supplies that she could potentially live without were someone to thieve them from her. Being out in the open like this was a bad idea.

For the sake of safety if there ever anything she could secure underground like a bunker or up ground that would make it difficult for the undead to navigate she was the first to claim it. Not that there were a flux of people who would fight her for the tree.

Presently, unfortunately, she had to suffer the ground, the most vulnerable spot. She took a quick look around her area to make sure it all looked in place before she settled herself down on her sleeping bag. She had a small pop-up tent that fit her and her things nice and snug.

"L-- what-- Lightning?" Snow was content in their silence as they sat by each other, feeling that comfort that only family could, and enjoying not being alone any longer. It was weirdly ironic, he could be as much a hero as he wanted to be now if he'd let people know what he could do for them, but that was not at all the kind of hero he wanted to be! And again ironic, was knowing he could have the greatest intimacy with nearly anyone of his choosing and yet he felt so utterly alone!

He was feeling a little sorry for himself when Lightning suddenly had stood up and left with her cryptic message. He stood up quickly too, only to slowly sit down afterward as he watched her retreating butt. Snow frowned and looked back to the fire. It took only two seconds to decide he didn't want to be alone again, and he stood back up and went to the ration tent.

Twenty minutes later he was unzipping Lightning's tent and like a malamute that has no idea just how big he is, the large man started trying to get inside. "Lightning! Look how much I got!" he stated proudly, shoving the knapsack towards her face with all the cans in it he'd managed to get with his saved up ration cards.

The sudden intrusion had her armed with a knife but once she saw who it was she sheathed the knife back into it's holster on her thigh. Once again she was bombarded with feelings of disbelief and shock to see him again; for a brief second there it was like they hadn't reunited yet. It was these times, this affliction, everyone was intense. Everything was intense.

Peopled were still dangerous, even more so now that the only law left here was kill or be killed. She had proven herself to be quite the survivalist without too much weight of guilt. She's killed to keep from being killed, maimed, or violated. Her tent opening up like that was a sure scenario for a violent altercation. However, Snow wasn't the kind of threat she needed a weapon for.

When he basically shoved the sack in front of her face her brows lifted and she brought a hand up to take the sack from him. Cans, cans, cans. Guess it was unreasonable to expect growing a garden, unless it was mobile. Now, that would be a good idea, Lightning thought somewhat distracted as she looked through his haul. It was impressive. She handed the food back to Snow.

"Keep your voice down." She requested in a whisper. Her eyes went over him and the mess of size he was to her modest sanctuary. "Have you got all your stuff together?"
mr33cm: (Default)

[personal profile] mr33cm 2017-03-03 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah!" he said loudly, then whispered it again to comply with her command: "Yeah." Snow was glad she hadn't put her boot right in his face, or made fun of the food he'd gotten. Canned or not, it was food, a nice commodity even only a few months after the worst of the apocalypse. There had been such a run on food that it was difficult to find now unless you hit a random score on a house who'd done the hoarding.

Some of the greatest casualties had been in Utah. All those poor Mormons who thought stockpiling for a disaster would mean the safety of their families, had thought wrong. Instead, people flocked from every nearby state to ransack and kill for those stockpiles. It was madness.

Snow had to shift and twist himself to get fully inside the tent. He was on the edge of her sleeping bag and his legs as pulled up as he could, meaning he was all up in her space with no where else to relax into. Snow didn't think about it or care. Instead, he reached up to zip the tent closed again, with the full intention that logically they would share the tent now that they would be traveling together. He didn't have one of his own, and he was going to be sharing his food with her. It just made sense.

"So where are we going?" he asked, feeling happy and hopeful for the first time in a long time. Those feelings showed in the dumb smile he had and how he was settling in next to her.

Lost puppy. She couldn't shake the association especially with the liberties he was taking now; but her mind was more set in the fact that they were going to be a lot more intimate with one another than she had ever wanted to be with him. He was the only person she's known that she's come across and in some fucked way she missed him, she missed having someone familiar there. Even if it was painful to be around him because he lived and breathed her sister which meant he was a constant reminder of Serah. In any case, she could use him to watch her back.

Perhaps it was fate that they met up tonight because she was going to leave tomorrow at dawn even if she had no one to go with her. Maybe part of her was planning at going alone and fighting like hell for as long as she could until she couldn't anymore. Then she'd die alone. Her life-plan; grand and shitty.

Lightning moved some of her belongings around in the tent, obviously making room for him before she lowered herself down to rest. After a moment she spoke up. "The mountains." She shrugged the one shoulder she wasn't laying on. "I anticipate that the higher we climb the more difficult it'll be for them to follow."

Snow was quiet and still as he watched her accommodate him and he silently appreciated it. Once she was settled he relaxed a bit more, one arm up to use as a pillow, though he stared at her the whole time. He couldn't get over how nice it was to see that pink hair again, that sweet and beautiful color, like the baby of marshmallows and cotton candy.

He sighed wistfully as he stared at her, thinking of Serah yes, but also just enjoying the view. Just like her little sister, she was gorgeous. When she spoke again he naturally agreed with the plan.

"Makes sense. ...hey, we could build a tree house up in the mountains! Heh." Snow smiled at his plan as he continued to stare.

Finally, he spoke up on his thoughts. "I'd forgotten how much you look like her. I mean, her face was rounder but you look so much alike. I think it's mostly the hair. I've never met anyone else with that shade of pink. There's something just so cool about it. I always loved her hair," he rambled on and on about Serah. He missed her so damn much, it felt good to talk about her to someone who had actually known her. "She always spent so much time worrying about you, fussing over you, talking about you. I never seen a little sister love her big sis so much!"

"Ugh." Lightning's response was likely to be a surprise to Snow, at least she thought it would be; considering he was talking again with his damn mouth. She wasted no time in turning over to put her back to him. It wasn't the tree-house idea -- which wasn't that bad of an idea but she was likely to decline it off of being pissed at him. Rather, what set her off was him bringing up Serah. Talking about her as if this was some distant childhood friend that moved across country. As if they had reason to believe that they would see her again. It pissed her off. She didn't want to hear a damn word about Serah and how she reminded Snow of her sister. They were so different. Where as Lightning was cold and focused, Serah was warm and inviting; she loved everyone. Even other people's kids.

Lightning didn't have time or patience for people slowing her down. The only reason she was set on allowing Snow to come was that he wasn't going to slow her down and he would watch her back. But it sure as hell wasn't because she wanted to remind him of Serah.

"Shut up, get some sleep."

It was such a good sleep, Snow was surprised when his blanket began moving and shoving on him. Somehow during the night he had completely taken over her sleeping bag and she was sprawled out on him instead. She weighed nothing! And was very warm and somehow, she smelled good. Some of her hair was curled up on his neck and he noticed that she smelled very different from Serah, at least as far as he could remember. "Ugh you smell good," he groggily muttered as she shoved and kneed his legs trying to get him out of the way.

Snow moved at his own pace, until she kneed him right in his junk. He groaned and rolled onto his side , feeling a knee in his butt next. Snow shifted onto his stomach and made quickly after that to unzip the tent and crawl out on three limbs. His free hand, was cupping his poor abused package and Snow had a hard wince twisting his features. A second later, he felt a foot in his butt and Snow landed face first in the dirt outside the tent.

An hour later, they were both cleaned up as best they could (running water would now be a thing of the past, due to most of the water plants not functioning after a few months of no maintenance). He was having a can of peaches for breakfast, and Lightning had a can of pears.

"I want to make a spear," he shared as they continued on their path through the woods towards the foothills. "For fishing. Our tree house should be by a stream with fish. Do you like fish? ...yeah, I remember you do. Heh. More than Serah ever did. I love fish too."

They were well on their way before the sun was finished rising from the peak of the mountain. He was once again talking nonsense. They would definitely have to find something upstream, first and foremost they absolutely needed to live by water. Although, he wasn't wrong as Lightning did very much enjoy fish. It was her favorite meat to consume, more so than the heaviness of beef and pork.

Unfortunately, she was now thinking about how she would eat a cow raw now if given the opportunity. This was no time to be picky and she was quite the beggar. She didn't answer Snow until she had that in mind--

"I would eat a cow if we come across one." She would gorge herself on a cow and go into a cave for hibernation like a bear and sleep until this whole thing blows over. She looked to Snow before looking ahead again with a new found desire to keep the silence between the two of them. Encouraging him only made him want to talk more.

"Me too. Doesn't a big, juicy, melted-cheese covered burger sound good right now? I never appreciated them enough before the world went to hell. I regret that." Snow snorted softly and smiled over at Lightning. A few slices of peaches kept him quiet for all of thirty seconds while they walked.

And then he was talking again. "It's funny, the things you regret, like that. I mean, some stuff you regret worrying so much about, like a billion hours spent in the gym. I wish now I'd worked out doing something more useful like running over rough terrain, climbing in and out of windows, more combat. You know? Instead all I was good at before this started was lifting dead weight and running for miles on a treadmill with expensive running shoes. It seems so dumb, now." Snow had another slice of peach.

Then he was off on another tangent, inevitably back to Serah. "I loved when Serah would work out with me. Her little work-out outfits were so dorky. I loved it though, y'know? That was her. She always kept a smile. And she never broke I sweat! I never understood that. We'd spend an hour on the treadmill and I'd smell like roadkill and she'd be as perky and perfect as ever. ...still smiling, too."

Snow looked over at Lightning. "Did you ever notice that? Like when you two played as kids or whatever."

The compound was large and, most importantly, secured with high fences and armed guards. It was up in the hills where noise traveled in an untraceable pattern. Where weather and terrain would make the ascend difficult for not only humans who were alive but those that still walked after death. Yet there was a certain type of isolation in which they all felt despite the fact that they all had one another within the safety of this compound. Even still, the intimacy piece of saving one another from the dreaded fate was somehow still not enough to sate the longing for more. Perhaps they were all homesick and inflicted with a certain type of cabin fever. Although the gate would open for anyone within, it may not always open for those outside.

It was the way they kept safe. A certain peace of mind that came in this sort of containment of life.

No one appreciated it more than the next, because they all knew what waited for them out there if they ventured from the grace of protection. Yet, there was more than a gathered community, they were led by one. It wasn't just because he was immune and able to heal the inflicted, but he was capable, smart, and what he organized worked.

It was the fire that drew both Lightning and Snow down the dirt road that led up a tight path toward the compound. What they saw were high fences, a sophisticated line of protection, a well in the middle of the town, and guards that walked the line. They kept their presence unknown for a good half hour before deciding to come from the hidden trees and walk up to the fence to seek shelter.

"Stop right there!" A man shouted out to them with a gun pointed in their direction. Lightning obliged, naturally. "Well, you're not dead.. that's for sure." The arm guard reasoned.

"No, we're not dead.." Lightning confirmed.

It wasn't much longer before a man wearing a long coat came out into the main street covered in wood chips to greet them. This place was likely a resort for cabin-lover wood goers back before it all went to shit. Maybe even some of these people had enough sense to make the move up here after the infection broke out. He had a stupid hat on his head and fingers poking out through his gloves.

"Hullo!" He greeted the both of them with outstretched palms. "What brings you here?" He lowered his hands to his sides. "To our most humble home?"

"We were headed up here for safety and caught smell of your campfire." Lightning answered honestly.

"Ah, well.. I am glad to meet you, I am Ardyn and who are you two?"

"Lightning and Snow." She answered for the both of them.

"Are you serious?" the armed guard asked. Adam was incredulous. Lightning and Snow? It sounded like some awful hippie band name from the 70s. Some people had gone crazy this past year. Maybe these kids thought they were being edgy and cool survivors with their special-fucking-names. He glared at them before he glanced to Ardyn. "You want us to search them for infection?" It was fairly standard protocol, strip them down and look for any bites or suspicious scratches.

"We're not infected," Snow said adamantly and with some exasperation. "We walked from the north camp six days ago. We haven't even seen undead between here and there."

Adam leveled his gun towards the big guy. "That camp town was taken out two days ago."

Snow looked startled and he looked over to Lightning. He'd been with that group for awhile, he wasn't too close to anyone there but there were a few he would have called friends. There had been dozens of people in that camp, maybe a hundred or more people even, a lot of them families and children. Snow looked down towards his feet and shook his head slowly. "I can't believe it..."

The group was too big, that was the main reason she wanted to leave. They were drawing too much attention with the traffic they were producing with that big of a community. Even worse is that they were out in the open, unprotected, not like this place. "How do you know that?" She found herself asking the guard. "You have communications up?" Her hands moved to her sides, only slightly, and she flexed her fingers. If they had a radio that could broadcast through these mountains that was impressive. She hadn't heard of anyone on the radio for a few weeks.

Ardyn moved to Adam and he slowly reached for the man's shoulder. "They look travel-worn.. let's invite them in.. we must look out for one another.." He then took his hand from Adam's shoulder and lowered it to his side. "I invite you into this community, to freshen up and get a warm meal inside of you, a nights rest, then we shall discuss your presence here.. mm?"

Lightning looked to Snow.

Adam didn't savor the idea of taking in random stragglers. They had limited space here and limited resources. It wasn't his call to make though, and as soon as Ardyn's hand touched his shoulder the guard lowered his weapon. He didn't put it away though. He still didn't trust them. Adam had never been the trusting sort though, even before the world went to hell. It was luck that he was here, and by Ardyn's good grace that he was allowed to.

Snow was troubled, but the guy with the hat seemed okay, he seemed nice. He frowned, to Lightning's look at him, but he shrugged. "Yeah alright. We are running low on food." As much as he'd taken, both he and Lightning could eat a lot and there was only so much rationing they could do. Getting a free meal or two out of these people would be really helpful. "Thanks." He nodded to Ardyn. "Thanks. We appreciate it."

Adam relaxed slightly and holstered his weapon, then took a few steps back and motioned for the two to follow him. "Lightning and Snow. Nice names." It sounded like anything except a compliment.

Lightning had some reservations but she and Snow had enough training to be cautious and they could fight their way out if it got too sticky. Or at least that's what she told herself because the promise of a bed to sleep in tonight and a hot meal was far too appealing to pass up, she may not be as smart as she should have been accepting the invitation. It was hard to come by trustworthy people now and days especially.

Lightning glared at the guard as she passed him, his compliment did not come with sincerity, that much she could tell. If anyone was going to get an ass-kicking, she was going to make sure it was him.

Ardyn led the way down the main street and around the corner to a larger cabin themed building, it was a lodge. "We have established quite the community here.. we all pitch in and make our world safe.. as it can be right now. Perhaps we can learn from one another, mm?" Ardyn turned to look at the two over his shoulder. "You aren't the first ones we've had come up here.. after our establishment."

"It's a nice place," Snow complimented, although he didn't feel all that comfortable. He was too disturbed after hearing the news of the town that had been taken out. The past few days had been quiet, and maybe shockingly given with whom he was traveling, peaceful and even relaxing. Lightning snapped at him all the time of course but he could have sworn there wasn't as much bite behind it as usual. Maybe she was getting used to him? Snow would like to think they could be friends. He was sure that Serah would have wanted that.

"A lot of hard work's gone into it," Adam retorted. Even though he had holstered his weapon, his hand was on it, ready in case these two were trouble-makers. He wasn't the only guard close by either. Cesare for example, quite the priest of Ardyn, was also known for a particular cruel and vicious streak against anyone who threatened their leader. Cesare was what Adam thought of as a true believer, which he didn't count himself among, but he kept that to himself lest he find Cesare's blade twisting in his gut next.

"Where have they come from?" Cesare asked as his big, dark eyes took in the two with a coldness they hadn't yet warranted.
