"L-- what-- Lightning?" Snow was content in their silence as they sat by each other, feeling that comfort that only family could, and enjoying not being alone any longer. It was weirdly ironic, he could be as much a hero as he wanted to be now if he'd let people know what he could do for them, but that was not at all the kind of hero he wanted to be! And again ironic, was knowing he could have the greatest intimacy with nearly anyone of his choosing and yet he felt so utterly alone!

He was feeling a little sorry for himself when Lightning suddenly had stood up and left with her cryptic message. He stood up quickly too, only to slowly sit down afterward as he watched her retreating butt. Snow frowned and looked back to the fire. It took only two seconds to decide he didn't want to be alone again, and he stood back up and went to the ration tent.

Twenty minutes later he was unzipping Lightning's tent and like a malamute that has no idea just how big he is, the large man started trying to get inside. "Lightning! Look how much I got!" he stated proudly, shoving the knapsack towards her face with all the cans in it he'd managed to get with his saved up ration cards.
